Electronic Pressure and Temperature Monitoring with DESYsmart & TESYsmart

With DESYsmart and TESYsmart, REINEKE offers intelligent systems for pressure and temperature monitoring in water-steam systems. The electronic monitoring solutions continuously record safety-relevant measurement values, detect faults at an early stage and support the safe operation of steam boilers, pressure vessels and water-steam circuits. DESYsmart and TESYsmart are also a useful addition to REINEKE's steam test stations for monitoring purposes.

Intelligent electronic monitoring for greater safety and transparency

DESYsmart and TESYsmart go beyond simply displaying pressure or temperature conditions. The systems developed by REINEKE continuously record safety-relevant measurement values, provide a clear overview of system conditions and can automatically trigger predefined safety functions in the event of defined faults.

DESYsmart (DESY = Pressure Detection System)

DESYsmart continuously monitors safety-relevant pressure values via several independent measuring channels. The current system status can be conveniently viewed on a touch display; the interface is available in several languages. Measurement values can also optionally be accessed online in real time.

If the system detects a defined fault condition, it can automatically trigger the predefined safety function, such as closing a valve. Three independent channels provide redundant multi-channel data acquisition.

The use of high-quality transmitters eliminates the need for additional, separate measuring systems in the steam circuit. Safety valves and safety shut-off valves can be reliably monitored and actuated when required. In addition, operators have access to change and history logs as well as recorded error messages.

TESYsmart (TESY = Temperature Detection System)

TESYsmart complements pressure monitoring with continuous monitoring of safety-relevant temperatures. The system was developed by REINEKE to protect against excessive temperatures in water-steam systems, for example in power plants.

The temperature-dependent monitoring concept is designed according to the requirements of the respective system and can provide a useful complement to DESYsmart.

Integrated self-diagnostics for greater safety

Both DESYsmart and TESYsmart feature integrated self-diagnostic routines. The recorded measurement data is automatically checked for plausibility. This means the system goes beyond a simple 1-out-of-3 solution and enables potential faults to be detected at an early stage.

This allows irregularities to be detected before they develop into more serious problems. This helps reduce the risk of system downtime, consequential costs and potential damage to components.

DESYsmart PLUS & TESYsmart PLUS – extended functions

DESYsmart PLUS and TESYsmart PLUS provide operators with additional convenience and documentation functions.
Faults and status changes are stored in a HISTORY for subsequent traceability. A color touch control panel ensures intuitive operation; a USB interface is also available.
Other functions include enhanced internal electrical protection, acknowledgement via the control room and optional bus communication via cable or fiber-optic connection.
